The Super Bowl has been around for decades now and every year it keeps getting better. Starting off as a simple game to decide the champions of the professional football league, it has now escalated to a mega event. Even though the main purpose is still centered on football, it’s in for a little competition. From the spanking new commercials and celebrity sightings to the national anthem and half-time show, Hollywood is heating up the scene more each year. Also, don’t forget the Super Bowl pre and post parties either, making it an all weekend celebrity packed event.

Hollywood hunks, Taylor Lautner and Kellan Lutz from Twilight attended this past weekend’s activities in Miami, while hanging out with celebrity friends such as, Hilary Swank. Another familiar face, Carrie Underwood is also in attendance and this time she is singing the National Anthem. Everyone looks forward to the half time show as well, which is more of a mini concert now then just one simple act. The Who’s Roger Daltrey and Pete Townshend performed their classic hits while, it seemed like everyone in the audience sang along.

Who knows what will be in store next year for the Super Bowl but this years will be hard to beat!

Keira Knightley strikes a pose on the cover of Elle magazine’s March 2010 issue, on newsstands Tuesday, February 16. In the issue the cover girl talks about criticism, her upcoming projects, and the importance of honesty.

On her character in The Misanthrope:

On surrounding herself with people who will tell her the truth:
“You have to be selective about the people whose advice and opinions you take. I know [my parents] would never tell me I was s— because they were trying to hurt me. It would always come from a very sincere place.”

Penn Badgely looks great in the March/February issue of Wonderland Magazine. In the article, Mr. Badgely talks about how he's through with the whole Gossip Girl fame thing. He continues with telling the magazine that during the first 2 seasons, he was very into the whole experience. Now, he's on the hunt for some other form of a creative outlet. He even goes as far as saying that he searched Myspace and found a fake profile someone made of him which he describes as "boring". We guess fame has it's price, too.

Twilight star Taylor Lautner, was spotted courtside for the Los Angeles Lakers' game against the Charlotte Bobcats Wednesday night at the Staples Center in Los Angeles. The 17-year-old New Moon star was looking hunky and handsome in all-black ensemble of a leather jacket, Armani Exchange V-neck shirt and jeans.

The “New Moon” cutie seemed to really have a great time seen laughing with fellow fans throughout the game. Team Jacob proved to be the extra boost the Lakers needed along with some love from Zac Efron and Vanessa Hudgens as they took the win over Charlotte by a close two points 99-97. The drama romance Dear John premiered this Monday February 1st at Grauman’s Chinese Theater in Hollywood. In attendance for the occasion was the movies staring lady Amanda Seyfried. Amanda looked flawless in a blue silk cocktail dress with a plunging neckline, open back and color-blocked skirt by our favorite designer Giorgio Armani.

The 24-year-old actress, who posed on the red carpet with her co-star, Channing Tatum, recently told The Province that while she had on-screen chemistry with Chan, she knows it’s just acting. “We’re all actors and we know what’s going on,” she shared. “We’re not going to go home thinking about our co-star.”

Channing Tatum looked delicious as always with his stunning to wife Jenna Dewa. The 29-year-old actor, said that the film’s director, Lasse Hallstrom, helped keep the film realistic without becoming overly sentimental. “Lasse is a beast. He has an allergic reaction to anything that is false, even down to wardrobe,” Chan shared. Dear John” tells the story of John Tyree (Tatum), a Special Forces/Green Beret soldier home on leave, and Savannah Curtis (Seyfried), who fall in love. Over the next seven years the couple is separated by John’s deployments and stay in contact by sending a continuous stream of love letters.

The flick hits theaters on Friday February 5th.

The SAG Awards came and went as well as the Grammy Awards, but do not fear, another award ceremony is just around the corner. The 82nd Academy Awards, also known as the Oscars will take place on March 7 in Los Angeles at the well-known Kodak Theatre.

The anticipation begins to build after a list of nominees was released today. Some obvious front-runners include Avatar and Hurt Locker with nine nominations apiece and Inglourious Basterds in a close second with a total of eight. All of which are nominated for the high acclaimed award for Best Motion Picture of the Year.

Along with incredible films receiving recognition, the actors and actresses who helped make the films possible, will also be receiving awards. Meryl Streep is a nominee in the Best Actress category for her role in Julie and Julia. This is her 16th total, which keeps her with the highest record of nominations in the history of the awards.

Victoria Beckham shows a softer side of her in cute and causal as she cuddles up to a puppy on the March 2010 cover of Glamour magazine, on newsstands Tuesday, February 9. The 35-year-old fashionista opened up to the magazine about being starstruck, what she does in her free time and what she loves about her husband, David.

On getting starstruck: “I [once] shared a plane with George Clooney. I still get excited. My mum and I said, ‘Oh my God’…I’m leading an extraordinary life. I never try to be too cool about [it].”

On David: “It’s not healthy to be jealous. I look at David and I think, He’s so handsome and I’m so lucky to have him as a husband. And he’s an amazing father. I don’t blame people for looking at him and finding him attractive. I mean, I do.”

On how she spends her free time: “I travel a fair amount, and when I’m here in L.A., everything revolves around the kids. So if I’m not working, I go to the school and help serve lunches to the children. They just love that. It’s like, Oh, there’s Mummy serving me!”
