This morning, recording artists Demi Lovato and Taio Cruz revealed the nominees of the 38th annual American Music Awards.
Nominations for these awards are based on a variety of factors, including airplay on the radio, traffic on social media sites about the musician/band, online video viewing, as well as retail sales.
It comes as no surprise that Eminem and Lady Antebellum, owning the top selling albums of the year thus far, take the lead with five nominations each. Justin Bieber follows with four nominations and B.o.B., Katy Perry, Ke$ha and Usher collected three nominations respectively.
It should be interesting to see if Bieber can beat out Eminem in the competition as they are both nominees for Favorite Male Artist, Artist of the Year and Favorite Pop/Rock Album. Don't forget to watch the awards show to find out!
Catch the 2010 American Music Awards on November 21 at 8 p.m, set to air live on ABC from the Nokia Theatre in Los Angeles.
