Olivier was born in Paris, France and began his acting career in 1990, and quickly achieving success, winning a César Award as "Most Promising Actor" in 1994, for his role in “Un, Deux, Trois, Soleil”.
He first came to mainstream attention in Hollywood films with his performance opposite Diane Lane in “Unfaithful” (2002). He has since appeared in a television adaptation of “The Roman Spring of Mrs. Stone” (2003), “S.W.A.T.” (2003) and “Taking Lives” (2004).
Martinez has been linked to actress Juliette Binoche for three years, Australian singer Kylie Minogue, and most recently Halle Berry that became good friends on the set of their new flick “Dark Tide.”
“Dark Tide” is a thriller centered on a diving instructor who returns to deep waters after a near-fatal encounter with a Great White shark – due out later this year.
