V Magazine: "The Power Issue" just hit stands and one of it's main attractions is a beautiful spread of model-musician Karen Elson. Elson hit the fashion scene early modeling for famed photographers such as Bruce Weber, Mario Testino, Peter Lindbergh, Mert and Marcus, Steven Klein, Patrick Demarchelier, Steven Meisel, Ellen Von Unwerth. Now her V Magazine debut Elson was shot by American-cult photographer Ryan McGinley.
McGinley started photographing in 1988 while he studied at Parsons the New School for Design. McGinley became respected in the art-world as he became the youngest artists to have a solo show at the Whitney Museum of American Art in New York City at a young age of 25. McGinley was also named Photographer of the Year in 2003 by American Photo Magazine, then in 2007 McGinley won the Young Photographer Infinity Award by the International Center of Photography.
