GOLDFRAPP UNPLUGGED

The electro-duo Goldfrapp, Alison Goldfrapp and Will Gregory, are ditching their electro-infused pop for their fourth album 'Seventh Tree' and moving towards a radically different sound that is more acoustic and organic.

In a recent interview to Billboard Magazine, Allison Goldfrapp said, "We did talk quite a lot about what kind of instruments would get that kind of warmth and that kind of sound we wanted. We'd never used acoustic guitars before. We wanted the sound to be delicate, but not weak." "We did an acoustic radio session and we really enjoyed that. I think that involves more people, having little chamber group sounds."

The live show is going to be stripped back as well, with more emphasis on acoustic and live instruments. Gregory tell Billboard: "We're going to try and do it unplugged and be more acoustic about it, and see how that feels.

The tracklisting for "Seventh Tree" is as follows:

"Clowns"
"Little Bird"
"Happiness"
"Road To Somewhere"
"Eat Yourself"
"Some People"
"AandE"
"Cologne Cerrone Houdini"
"Caravan Girl"
"Monster Love"

The record was co-produced by Flood (Smashing Pumpkins, NIN) and will drop on February 26 2008.
